Bellagio on Lake Como

Your Beautiful Italy tour starts with a 3 night stay in Bellagio on Lake Como.  You will be transported from the Milan Malpensa airport to Bellagio by private van.  Once there, you will enjoy a leisurely welcome dinner.  Your stay will also include a ferry pass which allows you to visit other beautiful villages nestled along the Lake Como coast.  There will be free time for strolling the streets of Bellagio, shopping, and enjoying the sights.

Italian Riviera

Next, your Beautiful Italy tour takes you to the Italian Riviera for a 3 night stay in quaint Santa Margherita Ligure.   Your hotel features breathtaking views of the Ligurian sea. It is also within walking distance of all the city has to offer. After arrival, the group will meet for a fantastic outdoor dinner on a lovely piazza.  While in Santa Margherita you will take day trips to Portofino as well as the Cinque Terre. Portofino is one of Italy’s most glamorous ports with its classy boats and impressive yachts.  Therefore, you will find excellent shopping and world class dining in Portofino.

The villages of the Cinque Terre are perched on the hills along the coast. While there you also have the option of purchasing a trail pass to hike the Sentiero Azzuro cliffside hiking trails. The trails link the villages of the Cinque Terre and offers sweeping views of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.  However, much of this hike is moderate to hard in difficulty so you may prefer sit back and relax as you train from village to village. The Beautiful Italy vacation ends with a 5 night stay in the charming town of Cortona set in the rolling hills of Tuscany.  From Cortona you will enjoy panoramic views of the Val di Chiana, Mount Sant’Egidio and Lake Trasimeno.  Also, a very short walk leads to the center of Cortona. Here you can spend time shopping, eating, drinking and mixing with the locals.  

Your stay in Cortona includes a winery tour with tastings, day trips to nearby hill towns, a tour of local Cortona landmarks, a Wine, Dine and Shine dinner event.  There is also a final dinner event with a favorite local chef in his private restaurant.  

In addition, you will have plenty of free time to explore on your own, shop, visit local museums and eat and drink to your hears content.
