The Emerald Isle – Ireland and all its Charm

IRELAND

From the time you land on beautiful, green, pastoral Ireland, you will feel a warm welcome. This is a nation of people who are happy to meet you and make you feel at home.  Our guests have been unanimous in their praise of Ireland – nothing but fun whether in a pub or walking through emerald green fields.  On one day you will visit beaches and archeological sites that are thousands of years old.  On another you will ferry to a lovely island to sample the local crab catch (in season). You will visit the Burrens and take in a sheepdog demonstration, explore a cave and take in a birds of prey demonstration, tour the beautiful Dingle Peninsula, and explore Dublin with your included city pass.

And the Castles

There are castles everywhere from old ruins to fully restored featured tourist attractions.  The variety is unlimited and you can see a little of everything. Castles that you will visit as part of the tour include Blarney and Bunratty.  Both are set on beautiful grounds with many attractions.  You will also enjoy a welcome dinner and night of great Irish dance and music at Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.  You will also see other castles in our explorations.

Time to Explore on your own

This tour will take you from the rural areas of Ireland where you can catch a jaunting car ride, to the city of Dublin with all its big city amenities including Temple Bar. If you visit Temple Bar on a Friday or Saturday, you may be treated to the spectacle of a Stag Party, a Hen Party or both.  Irelands young betrothed make the most of the end of their single hood by engaging with their friends in a feisty night of drink and song.  You will have plenty of time to explore on your own at each of our stops.  No telling what you will find.

The People

As stated before, the Irish are a very warm people who want you to enjoy your stay.  We had many great interactions with the locals but none topped one of our guest’s experience. Jeff was attempting to visit St. Mary’s Cathedral while we were in Killarney.  Unfortunately for him, there was a wedding taking place so he could not explore the cathedral. In true Jeff style, he struck up a conversation with a young family who was standing nearby.  As it turned out, they were wedding guests.  They actually invited Jeff to attend the wedding with them!  Jeff got to attend an Irish wedding in a beautiful Irish Cathedral!  What wonderful Irish luck!
